Grill Pack with Surf Clams

The easiest thing you can put on the grill is a grill pack filled with whatever you like. With a bit of prep work in the kitchen, you can experience a flavor sensation like no other. All our recipes are adapted from godfisk.no

Method

  • Dice the bell peppers into small cubes and slice the garlic thinly.
  • Cut the bacon into pieces and fry in rapeseed oil for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add in the bell peppers, garlic, and chili flakes, and sauté until the peppers start to soften, about 3 minutes.
  • Add white wine and bring to a boil.
  • Stir in finely chopped flat-leaf parsley, set aside, and let it cool completely.
  • Place a piece of baking paper on each sheet of grill foil, and fold up the edges to form small bowls.
  • Distribute the surf clams and bacon mixture into the foil cups. Remember to also distribute the bacon juices.
  • Cut the cherry tomatoes in half, place them over the shells, and fold the grill foils securely at the top.
  • Place on a hot grill and listen for the liquid to start boiling after 2-3 minutes.
  • Once boiling, let it simmer gently for another 4 minutes.
  • Check that the shells have opened.
  • Serve garnished with chopped chives and with bread on the side.
