Crispy Shrimp in Lettuce Wraps with Salsa

Method

  • Clean the shrimp.
  • Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package.
  • Place all-purpose flour in a bowl.
  • Beat the eggs, add salt, and place in another bowl.
  • Mix sesame seeds and breadcrumbs, and place on a plate.
  • Dip the shrimp in the flour, quickly coat in the egg mixture, then finish by rolling in the sesame seed and breadcrumb mixture.
  • Place the breaded shrimp on a plate and let them dry slightly before frying.
  • Quickly fry the shrimp in sunflower oil at high temperature until crispy and golden.
  • Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.

Salsa

  • Finely chop tomato, red onion, and chili, and mix together.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

Side Dishes

  • Cut cucumber into small dice.
  • Serve the lettuce leaves filled with rice, cucumber, corn, salsa, and shrimp. Top with sweet chili sauce and sour cream.
