Pasta with Sardines, Tomato, and Olives

Method

  • Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
  • Remove sardines from the oil and let them drain on paper towels.
  • Finely chop the onion and garlic, and sauté them in olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add canned tomatoes and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • Slice the olives and add them to the sauce along with sardines and capers.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Finely chop the parsley and basil, and fold them into the sauce along with the pasta.
  • Serve the pasta immediately with grated Parmesan on top.
