Teriyaki Marinated Mackerel

Method

  • Wash, clean, and finely chop garlic, lemongrass, and ginger.
  • Mix soy sauce, water, and sugar in a saucepan.
  • Add garlic, lemongrass, and ginger, and let the marinade simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Cool the marinade.
  • Let the mackerel fillets sit in the marinade for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the mackerel fillets from the marinade, pat dry, and brush them several times with oil.
  • Place the mackerel fillets on the grill and grill for a few minutes on each side.
  • Serve the freshly grilled mackerel fillets with cooked rice and salad, with the remaining marinade on the side.
