Ginger-marinated Escolar Fish Tips

Golden escolar fish tips marinated in ginger make a delicious appetizer or evening snack, suitable for both everyday meals and festive occasions. Escolar tips also work excellently as a tapas dish. All our recipes are sourced from godfisk.no

  • Remove the loose skin from the escolar fish tips, rinse, and pat them dry gently.
  • Grate ginger, finely chop chili, and mix with soy sauce.
  • Pour the soy mixture into a plastic bag, add the escolar tips, and let them marinate for about 1 hour.
  • Remove the escolar tips from the marinade and dry them thoroughly. Save the remaining marinade.
  • Coat the escolar tips in a mixture of all-purpose flour and salt, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Fry the escolar tips in butter over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden. Make sure the heat isn't too high.
  • Add olive oil to the remaining marinade and toss the escolar tips lightly in it before serving.
  • Serve the escolar tips with cooked rice and salad.

Tip:You don’t need to toss the escolar tips in the marinade before serving. You can serve the marinade on the side.
