  • Sprinkle salt over the coalfish fillet and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  • Rinse the fillet in cold water and gently pat it dry with paper towels.
  • Scrape the fish skin well, and cut the coalfish fillet into serving portions.
  • Place the fish portions with the skin side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush with melted butter.
  • Bake in the oven until the fish is cooked through, approximately 10 minutes.

  • Cook the potatoes until tender.
  • Cut them in half and place in an ovenproof dish. Drizzle with a little oil, salt, and pepper.

  • Add mayonnaise and stir in a little pickle brine until you get a thick but smooth sauce.
  • Season with a little sugar, salt, and pepper.
