Gravlax Jansson

Method

  • Set the oven to 200 °C.
  • Slice the onion thinly and sauté in butter until soft.
  • Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips.
  • Layer sliced gravlax, onion, and potatoes in a greased, ovenproof dish, and distribute small dollops of butter on top.
  • Mix heavy cream and milk, and pour over the dish.
  • Sprinkle bread crumbs on top and bake in the middle of the oven for about 45 minutes.
  • Serve Jansson's Temptation with gravlax after it has rested and absorbed some of the flavors.
