Grilled Salted Cod with Salt-Baked Potatoes

Salted cod is just as delicious on the grill as in traditional bacalhau dishes. Paired with salt-baked potatoes, this is everyday and festive grill cuisine. This is a traditional Portuguese recipe. All our recipes are sourced from godfisk.no

Method

Salt-Baked Potatoes

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  • Wash the potatoes and roll them in salt.
  • Place the potatoes in a greased ovenproof dish and bake in the oven for about 35 minutes.

Garlic Oil

  • Slice the garlic and sauté in olive oil until soft, but not burnt.

Side Dishes

  • Grill the bell peppers until the skin turns black.
  • Remove the skin, remove the seeds, and cut the peppers into long strips.
  • Mix the pepper strips with chopped oregano, along with a little salt and pepper.

Serving

  • Cut the salted cod into serving portions, brush with a little oil, and grill on a hot grill for about 5 minutes on each side.
  • Serve the grilled salted cod with salt-baked potatoes, grilled peppers, spinach, and olives, finishing off with a drizzle of garlic oil.
