Halibut Sashimi

Sashimi is literally called raw delicacy. This is especially true for this recipe, where you serve halibut with a honey soy sauce. A delicious appetizer, perfect for Christmas dinners. All our recipes are sourced from godfisk.no

Method

  • Halibut intended for raw consumption must be frozen for at least 24 hours prior to use if caught wild. Farmed halibut does not require freezing.Learn more about freezing exemptions here.
  • Slice the halibut thinly.

Sauce

  • Mix the ingredients for the sauce. Set aside and let it sit so the flavors can develop.

Vegetables

  • Peel and halve the cucumber, remove the core, and cut into pieces.
  • Slice the spring onions into thin rings and coarsely chop the coriander.
  • Combine the vegetables with the coriander and oil, and season with salt and pepper.

Serving

  • Serve the halibut slices with the vegetables and sauce on top.
