Pasta with Salmon

Pasta and salmon are two good friends, and together with cheese sauce, the dish becomes extra flavorful. If you wish, you can serve it with vegetables or bread on the side. All our recipes are sourced fromgodfisk.no

Method

  • Cut the salmon into roughly 2 cm cubes and season with a little salt.
  • Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
  • Add the peas to the water during the last 3 minutes of cooking.
  • Pour the cooking cream into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat, add grated parmesan cheese, and stir well. The cream should not boil after adding the cheese.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, drain the water but leave 2-3 tablespoons of cooking water.
  • Add salmon fillets, leeks, and olive oil to the pasta, and gently mix together.
  • Cover with a lid and return the saucepan to the stove on low heat for 5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through. Shake the pan 2-3 times during cooking.
  • Chop the basil, and add the cheese sauce and basil to the saucepan with the salmon, pasta, and peas.
  • Serve with bread on the side.

Tip:Instead of parmesan, you can try using regular cheese, a few spoonfuls of pesto, or a small amount of blue cheese.
