Malaysian-style Prawn Curry

Prawns cooked in curry and coconut milk—a slightly unusual combination, but it tastes delightful when served with rice or bread. A flavorful variation to the prawn repertoire. All our recipes are sourced from godfisk.no

Method

  • Finely chop shallots, garlic, and ginger, then sauté in oil until soft but not browned.
  • Slice the onion into rings and sauté together with the other ingredients until the onion rings are tender.
  • Sprinkle with curry powder and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add coconut milk, bring to a boil, and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Taste with salt, and add more curry powder if desired.
  • Add the prawns and let them heat through gently.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
  • Serve with cooked rice.
