Glazed snow crab

Method

  • Cut the snow crab legs into pieces at the joints, then halve the pieces lengthwise to expose the meat. Use a sharp knife with some weight or a sharp pair of scissors.

Glazing

  • Finely chop the garlic and chives, and grate the ginger.
  • Grate the lime zest and squeeze out the juice.
  • Place garlic, chives, ginger, lime zest, and lime juice into a saucepan.
  • Mix in sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and ketchup.
  • Bring to a boil and let simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Heat rapeseed oil in a skillet and sauté the snow crab legs for 3-4 minutes over high heat.
  • Pour the glaze over the crab legs and sprinkle with coarsely chopped spring onion before serving.
  • Serve the glazed snow crab legs.

Tip:Use a small knife to scrape out the meat from the snow crab legs or use your fingers.
