Herbaceous Salmon Burgers

Salmon burgers in pita bread are perfect for making outdoors with the kids. This recipe is free from eggs, shellfish, and nuts, and is dairy-free if served without tzatziki. All our recipes are sourced from godfisk.no

Method

  • Slice the salmon thinly, then cut into strips and further into small cubes.
  • Finely chop the salmon cubes with a large chef’s knife.
  • Mix the salmon with salt and spices, and stir well.
  • Dip a spoon in cold water and shape the burgers by hand.
  • Cook the burgers in oil on a griddle or open fire wok for 2 minutes on each side.

Tzatziki

  • Wash the cucumber, cut it in half lengthwise, and scoop out most of the seeds. Coarsely grate the cucumber.
  • Peel and finely chop the garlic.
  • Mix together the cucumber, garlic, Greek yogurt, and lime juice.
  • Season with salt and a pinch of sugar.

Side Dishes

  • Wash, prepare, and chop the salad greens.
  • Serve the salmon burgers in pita bread, alongside salad and tzatziki.
